Apple Jell-O
Our cousin Emily originally contributed this recipe to our family cookbook and it has a special family connection. She shares it with us today.
Apple Jell-O (Heritage recipe)
2 peeled apples, shredded (Grandma used one sweet, one tart)
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup orange juice
1 cup cold water
1 large or 2 small boxes cherry Jell-O
Boil 1½ cups water. Mix in Jell-O and stir until completely dissolved. Stir in 1 cup cold water and orange juice. Stir in apples. Cool until set. Emily said this was the last recipe Grandma Beverly Wessman shared with her.

Emily's Note: We served this recently with smoked brisket, cole slaw, potato
salad and fresh fruit. I love this jello
and it always reminds me of Grandma.
Nice! I'll have to make this sometime.
