Tapioca Pudding
Tapioca Pudding
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup sugar
4 Tb. instant or minute tapioca
1-3/4 cups milk
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1-3/4 cups milk
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix all ingredients together in a medium saucepan and let stand for 5
minutes. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a
full boil. Remove from heat and cool. Serve warm or chilled. This works with
all types of milk (powdered milk, canned milk, whole milk) or even with part
cream.
Eliza's notes: This is a family favorite. Some members of the family like to stir in mini-marshmallows and eat it with the extra sugar.
How funny. I was just thinking about making tapioca. I'm making yogurt, and warming the milk up reminded me about making tapioca.
