Flour Tortilla Hors D’oeuvres
Flour Tortilla Hors D’oeuvres
1 pint sour cream
1 (4 oz.) can green chiles
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
½–1 tsp. garlic powder
1 bunch chopped green onions
1 pkg. medium-sized flour tortillas, room temperature
Mix all ingredients and spread thinly on flour tortillas. Roll up tortillas and chill for 30 minutes. Cut in 1-inch pieces. Before serving, pierce with toothpick to hold them together. Serve with salsa and guacamole. Variation: Substitute 2 Tb. Salad Dressing Base (ranch, buttermilk, Fox Point) for the green chiles and garlic. Also try with minced bell peppers.
Becky's Note: These are such a great appetizer- they can be prepared ahead and look pretty. I would definitely add some bell peppers next time for more color!
Mom's Note: You can also place a washed scallion (green onion) on the starting edge before rolling so it ends up with a slice of onion/green top in the center of the roll.
