Apple Cider Syrup
We had a blizzard, so we had pancakes. We had some local cider in the fridge, so I made Apple Cider Syrup, and the kids raved about it.
Apple Cider Syrup
1 cup sugar
3 Tb. flour or Bisquick
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups apple cider
2 Tb. lemon juice
2 Tb. butter
Mix dry ingredients together in sauce pan. Add cider and lemon juice. Cook on stove until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute. Turn off heat. Stir in butter until melted. Serve over hot pancakes (regular or buttermilk) or waffles, preferably with freshly whipped cream. Refrigerate leftovers.
