Harvest Sandwich (revisited)

Harvest Sandwich
Layer thinly sliced apples, cooked bacon strips, and cheddar cheese on top of sliced French bread. Broil until the cheese is melted.

Mom's note: I was indexing our recipes and this sandwich, originally published December 8, 2011, sounded so good that we enjoyed it for dinner that evening. It was served on Greek flat bread instead of French bread. I also used turkey bacon. Once grilled I folded over half of the bread to make a sandwich.
