Sour Cream or Cream Cheese from Homemade Yogurt

Powdered Milk Sour Cream or Cream Cheese

Use the recipe for powdered milk yogurt from yesterday. Place a strainer in a bowl and line with paper towels or cheese cloth. Add some or all the prepared yogurt to the strainer. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, letting the yogurt drain to sour cream consistency (for sour cream). Continue to drain for up to 24 hours for cream cheese. Flavor with sea salt, if desired.
