Holiday Cheese Ball



2 (8 oz. each) cream cheese at room temperature
14 oz. jar maraschino cherries, well drained and chopped
1/3 cup finely diced green pepper
2 Tb. dry minced onion
1 cup well-drained crushed pineapple
1/4 tsp. seasoning salt

Line small bowl with plastic wrap. Combine all ingredients and put into the bowl. Pull up the plastic wrap to form a ball. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Take it out of the plastic and roll in 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans.

This delicious, festive cheese ball is very popular. It will make one large or two small balls. Serve with assorted crackers.
